Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Crossing the High Atlas Mountains
We begin our journey early in the morning from Marrakech, heading towards the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, situated 2,260 meters above sea level. This spectacular route offers panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and Berber villages.
Exploring Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah
Our first stop is the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This iconic ksar, built from adobe, has been a backdrop for films and series such as Game of Thrones and Gladiator. We’ll have time to explore its narrow streets and enjoy the views from the top.
Visit to Ouarzazate and Dades Valley
Next, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” where we’ll visit the Taourirt Kasbah. In the afternoon, we pass through the Rose Valley before reaching Dades Valley, where we will enjoy a traditional dinner and spend the night in a typical hotel.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga
Hike through the Todra Gorges
After breakfast, we head to the spectacular Todra Gorges, a canyon with rock walls that reach up to 300 meters high. It’s an ideal place for a walk, photography, and admiring the natural beauty.
Entering the Sahara Desert
After leaving the Todra Gorges, we make our way to the Merzouga Desert, home to the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a camel ride at sunset, which will take you to a desert camp. The night will be magical: a traditional dinner, Berber music, and an unforgettable starry sky.
Day 3: Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani – Midelt
Exploring Merzouga and Surroundings
We start the day early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we will visit Khamlia, a village known for its Gnawa music, and explore the traditional Rissani market, where the everyday life of the region comes alive.
Journey to the Middle Atlas
After lunch, we head north, passing through the impressive Ziz Valley, a vast oasis full of palm trees. We then reach Midelt, a city surrounded by mountains, where we will have dinner and spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
Day 4: Midelt – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fez
Meeting the Barbary Macaques in the Cedar Forest
We leave Midelt after breakfast and travel to the Cedar Forest near Azrou, where you can see Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. This area is known for its majestic cedars and serene landscapes.
Visit to Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco”
On the way to Fez, we stop in Ifrane, a European-style city famous for its Alpine architecture and pristine streets. It’s a perfect place to take photos and relax before continuing the journey.
Arrival in Fez
In the afternoon, we arrive in Fez, one of the oldest imperial cities in Morocco. Here, our wonderful adventure concludes, leaving you with unforgettable memories.
