Itinerary

Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Departure from Fez

The journey begins early as we leave the labyrinthine medina of Fez behind, heading toward the Middle Atlas mountains, known for their lush greenery and charming Berber villages.

Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco”

Our first stop is Ifrane, a picturesque city with Alpine-style architecture and a serene atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for a brief walk and some memorable photos.

Cedar Forest and Barbary Monkeys in Azrou

Next, we head to the Cedar Forest near Azrou, home to playful Barbary monkeys. This stop offers a chance to interact with these fascinating creatures while taking in the beauty of the natural surroundings.

Ziz Valley and Arrival in Merzouga

We drive through the stunning Ziz Valley, famed for its vast palm groves and traditional villages. By afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Embark on an unforgettable camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes, marveling at the magical desert sunset. In the evening, we settle into a desert camp where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars and lively Berber music. Accommodation is in a traditional nomadic tent (haima).


Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the golden dunes—a truly magical experience. After breakfast, we return to the village of Merzouga on camelback and resume our journey.

Todra Gorges Adventure

Our next stop is the Todra Gorges, an impressive canyon with towering walls that reach heights of up to 300 meters (984 feet). Enjoy a leisurely walk through this natural wonder, ideal for photography and exploring.

Arrival at Dades Valley

In the afternoon, we continue to the Dades Valley, famous for its unique rock formations known as “Monkey Fingers.” Here, you’ll enjoy a hearty dinner and a relaxing overnight stay at a traditional hotel or kasbah overlooking the valley’s spectacular scenery.


Day 3: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

We begin the day with a scenic drive along the famous Route of 1,000 Kasbahs, passing through picturesque landscapes dotted with ancient fortresses and traditional villages.

Crossing the High Atlas Mountains

Arrival in Marrakech
